Kelly Clarkson
All I Ever Wanted Tour
Live in Malaysia 2010
Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 8.00pm
National Stadium, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur

Kelly Clarkson 'All I Ever Wanted' World Tour Poster.

This is my first time ever to watch American artist performing a concert here in Kuala Lumpur. Thanks to my sister in-law who passed me these free tickets which I never thought of. This concert was jointly organised by Galaxy Group and Maxis Berhad via its leading prepaid brand Hotlink.

The first American Idol winner when she was just 2o, Kelly Clarkson kicked off her debut performance in Malaysia with a bang as her first Asian destination of her 'All I Ever Wanted' world tour. She flew from Australia after her final Australian show in Perth on 22nd April 2010. Yes, you heard me right, PERTH. We are coming!

At the entrance gate of the stadium.

Accompany by my two friends in last minute deal, we arrived at the stadium about 7.30pm and I was so excited to see the crowd around the stadium. There were people of all ages and races casually making their way to the various stadium entrances. This much-awaited concert starts promptly at 8.00pm with opening performances of two local singers, the first Malaysian Idol winner; Jaclyn Victor and One In A Million season one winner; Suki.

At 8.30pm, Kelly’s VIP MPV crossing the run track of the stadium to back stage and at times, thousands of fans seemed to scream for no reason, so excited were they to be there. Appearing on stage in a black dress with leggings, the Texas-born singer entertained the audience to a selection of hits taken from her four albums, Thankful (2003), Breakaway (2004), My December (2007) and her latest All I Ever Wanted (2009).

We were surprised by watching at Kelly seems to be a little bit 'bigger' as we could imagine or should I say chubby, compare to her younger days and probably that she can’t jump so frequent with weight piles on but who cares when her talents still rocking. We got a chance to enjoy listening to her acoustic version of some favourite songs and the medley few songs halfway through the concert. We also saw some portion of fans lifted her further by singing “Happy Birthday!” who turned 28 on Saturday, 24th April and that brought on the smiles.

Clarkson electrified thousands of screaming fans at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil with hits like Since U Been Gone, Behind These Hazel Eyes and My Life Would Suck Without You and many others. The hits, which had the audience singing along, included All I Ever Wanted, I Do Not Hook Up, Breakaway, Since U Been Gone and Because of You, but it was the last song, My Life Would Suck Without You, that got the audience jumping to their feet.

Here are some pictures I thought I would share with you all which I could possible snapped with my camera. Sorry if you can’t see her clearer in these pictures coz it was the closest zoom and distance that I have with it. Sure, you are able to see her close-up performance even you were at the last row seats where organiser putting up two big screens next to the stage. But when we go to a concert we sure want to see the live act performing, even if we can’t make out their faces. If we wanted to watch the screen, we would have stayed home and watched Clarkson on YouTube.

After last night's concert, Kelly Clarkson is scheduled to perform in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan and China as part of her Asian tour journey before heading back to US in July.

Although we don’t see glamour stage and luxury dressing like most Asian artists did, there were a lot of good things about this concert experience and we were really enjoy with her non-stop live performance with stunning atmosphere, lighting, sound system and the reaction from the fans. The 1 ½-hour concert ended at 10.00pm without encore.

At first, I thought I might passing those tickets to others but I’m glad I got to see her perform here. Even when the Malaysian weather seemed to be affecting her performance a little, she was a pro and put on a show that thousands of excitedly screaming and delirious fans will remember for a long, long time. Gosh... I am liking being to concert already!

Before the concert started and 'Avatar' appearance after the concert... phew!

Kelvin and Rachel Wedding Reception 志华与紫慧婚礼宴

Mr Kelvin Soon with Ms Rachel Lim

Today, it is exactly a month after their marriage. I feel like I should announce this great news to the world and make a remark into my blog as token of appreciation on this anniversary. Thank you and congratulations to our newly wed; Kelvin and Rachel especially Kelvin who used to be part of my personal pathway into the Christ. For them, we celebrate and cheer up the memorable day for this lovely couple.

A little history about him is that when I stepped into Church for Sunday Service occasionally three years ago, I was always noticing this young guy approaches youngsters to join MYF and I was so bad enough to hide and seek. Nothing better than God's words and since then I be part of the MYF with no regret. Experiencing with his passionate and determination during the hardship of our time in MYF, sharing from Cameron Highlands to latest Phuket trip, I know how great this man is. We knew this wedding preparation has kept both of them away from us for months but you will never left behind. Never give up and do take care yourself, Bro!

The Matrimonial Service took place at Chinese Methodist Hokkien Church, Kuala Lumpur on Saturday 13th March 2010 at 11.00am. Here are some of the sweetest moments during the course of matrimony courtesy of Kelvin's Facebook.

Solemnization of marriage.

Candles in-one ceremony and signing of the marriage register.

On the same evening, we are also invited to their wedding dinner held at;

Hee Lai Ton Restaurant (沙登喜来登海鲜酒楼)
No. 12, Jalan Muhibbah Tiga
Taman Muhibbah
43300 Seri Kembangan

Since Kelvin and Rachel are actively serving in church, most of the church members attended this occasion of coz not to be missed MYF. Although our invitation card stated dinner will commence at 6.30pm sharp and we were arriving as early as 6.15pm, but the dinner happened to be late as tradition at about 8.15pm and we were really hunger for food. We were then filled with good food and laughters. Lets the following photgraphs to do the talking.
